Who is Chelle Marchelle, better known as Chelle (pronounced Shelly) to all of her friends and clients, has one basic philosophy, "let's have a good time." Chelle specializes in Wedding, Child, High School Senior and Family photography while offering a quality product that might not be achieved in a chain studio. It is not unusual to see Chelle and her clients bare foot, sitting on the floor in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Chelle believes in getting to know her clients proir to the portrait session to help her get a feel for what her clients might like in the way of a final product. She becomes friends with children to establish a trust with them and to help gain natural expressions during the photography sessions. "I believe in capturing the true nature and essence of my clients. What better way than to have a little fun and relax." Chelle's Education and Experience Chelle obtained a Bachelor of fine arts degree in May of 1996 from Northwest Missouri State University (NWMSU) with an emphasis in graphic design and photography. From the September of 1996 to January of 1999, she mentored under Gwen Moss of Benton, Kentucky. Gwen is a wonderful photographer who has owned her own business, Gwen Moss Photo Designs, for many years with great success. While working under Gwen, Chelle learned much about lighting and posing as well as many business aspects of running a photography studio. In the spring of 1999, Chelle relocated with her husband, Jeremy, to Little Rock, AR, and started working at Photographic Memories, Inc. While there, Chelle became the manager as well as the primary photographer within a short period of time. Chelle's next move was in July of 2000, when she committed to starting her own business, Chelle's Creative Photography. Chelle's Continual Education Chelle continues her education through memberships with professional photography associations and by attending photography conventions to learn or improver her posing and lighting techniques. She is a member of Arkansas Professional Photographers Association (APPA) and maintains her membership with the Kentucky Professional Photographers Association (KPPA). Awards and Acknowledgments Chelle recieved the 1998-1999 International Library of Photography, Editor's Choice Award, for her portrait, "Yellow on Red" |
